If you haven’t visited St. Catherine’s at Bell Gable Chapel in Fayetteville, Arkansas, do yourself a favor and go explore the Chapel and property!
I alway love photographing wedding dresses and had a blast shooting a few new dresses for She Said Yes in the Heights in Little Rock recently. I photographed two super cool wedding dresses and one amazing bridesmaid’s dress. Check them out if you’re in Little Rock!
Every month I put together a networking meeting for local wedding vendors, and this month’s meeting was at The Inn at Carnall Hall in Fayetteville, Arkansas. While I was there, I took a few photos of their renovations, which look amazing! They’ve kept the historic feel of the building while modernizing the furnishings. I’ve had the honor of photographing a TON of weddings here over the years, all of them beautiful and flawless! Check it out if you’re looking for an exquisite wedding venue in Northwest Arkansas!
I just had a phone call with a sweet bride about her wedding later this year at the Mildred B. Cooper Memorial Chapel in Bella Vista, Arkansas. I told her I’d put together a gallery of recent wedding photographs I’ve taken there to show her what all I’ve done there, and thought I’d share them here too!
Some of these pictures were taken in full shade, some were taken in full blown sun, but most were the famous Arkansas “sun at full blast for five minutes, then sun behind the clouds for five minutes, then sun full blast again...” Gotta love that! But no worries, I can handle challenging lighting situations. In fact, I actually enjoy it. It’s like winning a game or solving a puzzle.
If you’re planning a wedding in Northwest Arkansas, be sure to consider Cooper Chapel, or it’s twin, Thorncrown Chapel, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Both Chapels hold a maximum of 120 guests, and are best for smaller wedding parties. Both Chapels have changing rooms for the bride. The acoustics are great in these Chapels so consider a soloist and a string quartet!
Thanks for looking!
So I don't mean to brag, because now it's just getting embarrassing, but I've won yet another award for my wedding photography! I am a member of and advertise on The Knot, which is kind of like the "who's who" of wedding photography nationwide. In order to receive this award, you have to have a high enough number of good reviews. Only the top few percent of The Knot's members receive this award, according to their website. They are mailing me a plaque with my name on it that will be here in a few weeks, but they sent me this "badge" for now! I'm always honored to be recognized for my wedding photography!
I am VERY honored to have won in the category of BEST WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER in both CitiScapes Magazine and Celebrate Arkansas Magazine! I am also up for an award through The Knot, which will announced on December 10!
Thank you to all of the awesome friends, family, clients and vendors for your votes and support!
Elopements and more smaller "intimate" weddings are really popular right now. Just the couple, their closest friends and family, and a preacher to marry them. No stress and fuss of a big production, and couples are realizing that at the end of the day, they are just as married.
I'm very honored to have been able to photograph weddings both large and small at the stunning St. Catherine's at Bell Gable Chapel in Fayetteville, Arkansas. If you've never seen it in person, stop by on Sunday afternoons when they open up the property for tours.
Thank you Hannah and Joshua for trusting me to document your wedding!
I had such a great time making engagement pictures for Brandi and Bryce recently! I love it when the couples I get to photograph put their full trust in me, and just say "do your thing!" I find that the best pictures I get are when there aren't any pre-conceived ideas. No Pinterest copy-cating. Just let it happen naturally.
For this shoot, I said lets meet at the Bentonville Square for some urban/city type pictures, then follow me over to Park Springs Park for a more natural setting. They said "cool," and off we went! My favorite engagement sessions are when we just show up and I say "go over there and love on each other!" I love capturing the emotion between two people in LOVE!
I'm really looking forward to photographing their wedding this fall at the beautiful Pinnacle Country Club!
I had a blast photographing and getting more acquainted with Laura and Phillip as we walked all over the Fayetteville Square recently to make their engagement photos! Laura and Phillip live in Fort Smith so I appreciate them not hesitating to come up to Fayetteville for their engagement photos. Their wedding will actually take place in St. Louis this September and I get to travel there to photograph their wedding day! I can't wait!
It's always an honor to be chosen as a couple's wedding photographer, because lets face it, there are a LOT of wedding photographers out there! It's also a huge treat to get to photograph an entire wedding day at Sassafras Springs Vineyards in Fayetteville, Arkansas!
The getting ready room (called the "Peacock Room") was perfect for Mary Beth to get ready in; beautifully decorated with lots of huge windows and pretty light! The ceremony was supposed to take place in the outdoor Chapel, however due to the constant threat of rain all day, they decided to exchange vows under the protection of a tent on the back patio of the "Stables" building. It actually worked out really well because the guests had a great view of the lush green vineyards and property during the ceremony! Follow the ceremony, guests were just a few steps away from the reception, which might I say, was an absolutely party and so much fun to photograph! Congratulations Mary Beth and Joseph!! Thanks for having me photograph your wedding!
Mary Beth and Joseph prevailed through rain and storms to have one heck of a wedding! I loved every minute of it!

I guess this would have to be the most special photo shoot of my entire career; getting to make bridal portraits for MY beautiful wife!
For the location, I wanted something really industrial yet still beautiful, to compliment Janelle's very sparkly and glamorous from She Said Yes Bridal as well as her amazing Jimmy Choo shoes (which we hadn't planned on getting, however on a trip to Las Vegas right before our wedding, we found these pink and silver blinged out shoes that I told her she HAD to have them)! After all, our wedding colors were pink and silver, which you just don't see very often!
After thinking about it for awhile, I knew that The Brick Ballroom would be the perfect location for these bridal photos! The owner, Heather, was so sweet and was more than happy to have us make these pictures in her stunning new wedding venue in Siloam Springs!
I wanted to do something a little extra for my wife's photos, so I ordered some pink smoke bombs which we played with at a nearby park. It was my first time using smoke bombs and ut was a lots of fun!
Thank you Janelle for loving me! I can't wait to take many more pictures of you!
Jacquelyn and Dean's wedding at The Goodwin Manor in Little Rock, Arkansas was exactly how I knew it would be. Perfect!
Jacquelyn's amazing style and attention to details was definitely one for the books! Thanks to you both for trusting me to capture your wedding experience! I loved every minute of it, from the beautiful overlooks at Petit Jean for your engagement pictures, to you're bridal portraits at Goodwin Manor, and all through your gorgeous outdoor ceremony to your really fun reception. It was a blast!
Words cannot express how honored I am to have gotten to marry my true love and best friend, Janelle! March 24th was our date! The ceremony was held at the magnificent Hunt Chapel, with our reception following at the always stunning wedding venue The Ravington. We used Trinity Ridge and their team of three talented photographers to photograph our wedding day. Here's the first of their pictures we've received so far, and we're so excited to see more!
So many amazing Northwest Arkansas wedding vendors were used to make our wedding day special to us. I'll be bragging on each of them here soon, but for now, I love you Janelle!
Fun fact: you don't have to be engaged to have really nice professional pictures taken of you and your significant other! You can have them made, for no other reason than... just because!
When Janelle and I first became boyfriend and girlfriend, I arranged right away for a photographer to take pictures of us, only because we wanted nice pictures of ourselves!
Super thanks to Monica and Andrew for having me photograph you guys yesterday. If this is something you're interest in having done for the two of you, simply contact me and we'll go from there!
